Silanes Laboratory was founded in 1943 by Antonio López de Silanes Salinas, with the objective of meeting the growing demands of the population. Since its inception, the company has registered an accelerated growth through production and sale of vitamins and pain medication. It is noteworthy, however, that in 1957, Silanes began a new medicine line which grew considerably in the following decades and even today is one of its key successes: antidiabetics.
